Sweet Sorbet (One Outfit, Three Ways)

Hello guysss! :)
I'm finally back to my regular blogging routine! And to make up for the three-week hiatus, new posts will be published daily this sembreak. A series of giveaways are coming up in celebration of my birthday month as well, yahoo!

For now, here's my version of "One Outfit, Three Ways" featuring this sweet dress from Choies. I hope this inspires you to play with your accessories so you can also confidently wear the same dress and shoes in three different occasions!

1.) The Bride's College BFF.
This look is perfect for an outdoor (e.g. garden) wedding ceremony.

2.) Happy Birthday, Grandma!
For day-to-night family affairs like your Granny's birthday.
Removing the sunnies actually made this look simpler and sweeter. :)

3.) The School Fair.
Back in elementary and high school, wearing new clothes during campus events such as the Mission Sunday Fair, Christmas Parties and the Family Day Celebration seemed an unspoken rule for students. If I could turn back time, I'd wear something like this!

Sundate (feat. Sammy Dress Heels)

My ideal Sunday looks like this:
Going to Mass with my family then having lunch at Grandma's while I play with my favorite nephew, Basty. The fact that my granny will stay in the US for quite long and that I could barely go home on weekends now, with Sunday meals comprising mainly fastfood eaten in a very fast manner just so I can resume studying again, somehow makes me sad. Third year med school is slowly causing me to deviate from my usual norms of comfortable living; but then, this really is what taking the road less traveled entails.

Last week, I met up with my friend, Churchille, who just arrived from Singapore.
I haven't seen her for ages and it's such a shame how I was only able to spare her 20 minutes of my study time before I rushed to church for Mass. I am such a cool and loving friend. Yes. :|
Promise, I'll make it up to you soon Chillypink!

Anyway, here's what I wore on that day:

hairtie from Aupie.com | spiked denim vest from Rackeight

I was in the mood for a sweet, girly number so I utilized lace and nude colors as the basic elements. The punk nature of this spiked, denim vest from Rackeight could be so deceiving that one might pair it with graphic leggings or ripped jeans by default. So I decided to match it with soft, earthy pieces like this lace skirt from Sheinside (that I also wore in this post), a tan handbag, and these nude pumps from Sammydress. They're my favorite pair so far and I love the fact that they're just of medium-height. That's style and comfort rolled into one. :)

I polished the look with a velvet hairtie from Aupie.com and this cutesy rabbit cocktail ring from Chemjoy.
Sporting something that's not as colorful as what I usually wear is such a breath of fresh air.
Hope you liked it too!

Head over these websites. I'm sure you'll find lots of nice stuff!

Kaleidoscope Dress

Well, hello guys!
Sharing with you now some of the things that I do for the love of blogging--like bathe under the prickling midday sun. No one really knows how heavy the next rainfall will get so its best to embrace sunlight while it's still there. Talk about this bipolar weather and bipolar disorders which I'm coincidentally studying right now. :3

The Ahai Shopping Team was so sweet to send this kaleidoscopic floral dress over along with the hearts top that I wore in my previous post. It somehow has a hypnotic effect on me, I could imagine so many beautiful things happening just by staring at it.

And as promised, I'm wearing these vintage, round sunnies again from Chemjoy.com.
I love how this pair can just go along with whatever I wear. I think I should get more sunnies like these because the roundness compliments the shape of my face. Whatcha think?

FYI, it's not easy to capture perfect hair-flicking moments. HAHA.

My PersunMall Wishlist

Almost every blog that I've visited recently spoke amazing things about this online shopping website called PersunMall.com. At first I was intimidated by the looks of their products because all the items are not only fashion-forward but obviously of high-quality as well. One can easily conclude that they're as expensive as designer brands. Nevertheless, the curious cat that I was pushed me to discover what this PersunMall.com shopping mayhem was all about.

Persunmall.com is an international supplier of the latest fashion-forward items including clothing, jewelry, shoes, and bags. They also have a wide variety of wedding, party, and cocktail dresses in very reasonable prices--mostly 20-30% off local shop prices.

Amazing right?
Now before you head to their website, here are my favorite items from Persunmall.com

If only I can have them all!
These are just my top choices based on my personal taste and style, btw.
You can find also minimalist and elegant selections on Persunmall.com.

Office Girl Series: Like A Boss

Officewear isn't just about looking chic and elegant. It's also about confidence and being always on-the-go. Power dressing can be applied to whatever workplace one belongs to. It exudes a message that "I'm a tough chic. Don't mess with me. I know what I'm doing because I always aim and get the best results." It's not entirely overconfidence or insensitive pride, it's showing the people around that you also deserve some respect--that you are in control of the circumstances that relate to whatever your position is.
Grace (and fabulosity) under pressure? YES

Office Girl Series: The Black Skirt

As a little girl, I have always dreamed of working in an office.
I've had countless outfit swatches in my mind then like one-piece pencil-cut dresses paired with classy pumps and a blazer--because it's always cold in an air-conditioned workplace. All my breaks will then be spent having coffee and re-touching my makeup in the washroom. And the best part will be, after work, I get to be fetched by my dad or my boyfriend, and we'll hang out somewhere talking about how wonderful my day went, etcetera.
Ah, to be an office girl!

Sadly--but yeah, not really THAT sadly--all my efforts now are geared towards being a Clinic Girl rather than an Office Girl. Good thing, I have this blog to pour out all my frustrations into. :)

My next few posts will be part of my newest project: Office Girl Series. Yup, I will blog everything about how I imagine myself on workwear had I been an office girl. All photos will be taken from my collaborative shoot with the Iloilo-based online boutique, It's Vintage Darling, owned by fellow Ilongga bloggers Em Trava and Tisha Arnaldo. Similar photos are on their Summertime Sadness Collection album. Visit their page now if you'd want to go ahead of this series!

Dissect every office girl's closet and I'm sure you'll find the good old black skirt. Below or above the knee, with back or side-slit, I'm sure they all have one! My mom's a banker and she has a plethora of pencil skirts in different cuts and colors. Because officewear is all about being chic, simple, and classy, there's no need to excessorize--just combine basic pieces and you're off to a fabulous day!

STYLE TIP: After work, why not throw over a denim blazer and don your black booties for an instant day-to-night outfit?
