Aberration

I was never a sporty person, though I wish some of my future kids would be.
The only ones I knew (past tense because those "skills" have been repressed longer than I can remember) how to play were badminton and swimming--both were forcibly imposed by my parents just to get me outdoors on summer breaks. But a sport that I really find cool ("cool": looks fun but I don't really know the rules) is football. There's something so attractive about the jersey top uniforms of international football teams (e.g. Brazil). So when I saw this watermelon-print cropped top from Romwe, I didn't think twice of spending my blogger points for it. It looks like one of those shirts that football players wear, just more girly and summer-y and I just feel extra sporty today.

Since I'm not comfortable with belly appearances, I paired the cropped top with high-waisted leggings from Ohkayganda Boutique. I believe that dressing up is like cooking. You have to know what ingredients and mixtures work for you to achieve a pleasing blend. In this case, the cropped top + high-waist bottom combo perfects balance and compensation.

Of course, this leopard print wristwatch from Born Pretty Store is a favorite because it could stand out and blend in at the same time. It goes true with this handbag from Mindanao. Both have patterns quite dissimilar with the rest of the outfit but when put together, they all look like they were made to belong there.

Metamorphosis

I feel so blessed to be chosen as one of OMG Fashion UK's fashion reviewers.
They have the most unique dresses and this one is perhaps my favorite. It's amazing how a one-piece garment can have so many interesting details. The aztec patterns on the sleeves, the butterfly stamp print, and the baroque figures work perfectly well together.

Wore the dress with heelless shoes and my yellow retro sunnies from Foymall for an Andre Chang-inspired look. If only I was in Manila a few days ago, I'd wear something like this to the Philippine Fashion Week!

My first attempt to style this dress:
I later realized that it was a bad hair day so I had to wear my hair up and ditch the hat.
I loved the flowers in the background so much! I've always wanted to have an ootd shot at this area in San Antonio Resort. It felt like I was in a different world. :)

Comic Relief

How to get countless double takes from strangers?
Wear a Batman tunic dress and yellow goggle-like sunnies.
This whole outfit was so much of a scene stealer even if, deep inside, I really felt like just wearing my childhood pajamas with comics/cartoon character prints on them. I love how OMG Fashion produces unique and quirky dresses like this that make girls relive their fond childhood memories.

Of course, the yellow sunnies from Foymall weren't made for nothing. They smell and feel like Lego and I couldn't get enough of them that you might just see yellow instead of my real eyes in my next few outfit posts.

So here goes my own version of a 'playsuit'--literally. ;)

Figure Skirting

This is what happens when my inner '50s goddess gets awakened.
Sometimes it's just refreshing to dress like you came from another decade.
I've always seen trends as ever-reincarnating and innovating; and the revival of the '50s fashion is something that I've been wishing to happen. In this generation of cutouts, short shorts and bandage dresses, being trendy may mean wearing prints on prints and bright colors but going back to the '50s just proves that we can still look fashionable in sweet pastels and long A-line skirts without exposing much skin.

This Teapot Lounge Tee from Traffic People actually set the '50s mood for me. If you happen to browse their website, almost all of their collections are in whites or pastels--perfect for days when you feel like being a sweet, girly-girl.

The fair, windy weather ushered my artsy side as well.
I especially loved how this maxi skirt from Choies created various figures as I twirled around.
This is actually on of my favorites OOTDs. Taking these photos was so much fun! And would you believe that my mom was behind these photographs?

Completed this vintage look with a turban and my favorite Prada-esque sunnies.
I added some gold accents for a little boho touch. This cocktail ring from
Chemjoy.com is such a stunner. Apart from cutouts and bejeweled details, it's also very affordable at only $1.99! Chemjoy.com has the prettiest accessories with the lowest prices. They offer FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING too!

Lookie lookie, the skirt just formed mini ocean waves and a flower!

Kaleidoscope Dress

Well, hello guys!
Sharing with you now some of the things that I do for the love of blogging--like bathe under the prickling midday sun. No one really knows how heavy the next rainfall will get so its best to embrace sunlight while it's still there. Talk about this bipolar weather and bipolar disorders which I'm coincidentally studying right now. :3

The Ahai Shopping Team was so sweet to send this kaleidoscopic floral dress over along with the hearts top that I wore in my previous post. It somehow has a hypnotic effect on me, I could imagine so many beautiful things happening just by staring at it.

And as promised, I'm wearing these vintage, round sunnies again from Chemjoy.com.
I love how this pair can just go along with whatever I wear. I think I should get more sunnies like these because the roundness compliments the shape of my face. Whatcha think?

FYI, it's not easy to capture perfect hair-flicking moments. HAHA.
